Duncan Kerr is a multi-disciplined Financial Manager with over 15 years of experience in accounting, operations, budgeting, forecasting, tax filings, and cash management. An analytical problem solver and detail-oriented business professional, Mr. Kerr specializes in managing all aspects of company finances.

Mr. Kerr has extensive hands on experience with QuickBooks, MS Excel and MS Access. Using Excel and Access, he has created reports for internal marketing analysis and planning, monthly commission reports for sales reps, ROI analysis, cash flow analysis and forecasting.

Currently, Mr. Kerr is serving as Controller for six companies including: a multi-million dollar dental product sales organization, a knowledge based software company, a medical supplies distributor, and an on-line advertising company. In these roles he has set up account structures, performed payroll using both QuickBooks and ADP, handled benefits administration and is involved with cash flow planning, budgeting, and sales forecasting. Additionally, Mr. Kerr has over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience working with ISG, a Raleigh-based computer software company. ISG developed a series of software applications and products including a benefits administration package and interactive voice response (IVR) systems for healthcare organizations. He has been involved with all aspects of management including finance, human resources, sales, marketing, and customer relations.

Mr. Kerr holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Wake Forest University School of Business and Accountancy and is certified in QuickBooks.

Professional Career Highlights:

  • From 2005-2006, Mr. Kerr served as the Controller for a corporation where he performed financial work on a part-time basis. Throughout his year here, he establish a general ledger, created cash flow models and ad hoc reports, performed payroll duties for more than 25 employees within the company, and reported to senior management.
  • He has also served as Interim Controller for a rapidly growing Raleigh-based software as a service company that provides websites and services for medical practices. One of his roles during this time was to focus on the area of GAAP based revenue recognition issues in order for them to obtain audited financial statements
